Services

I offer an initial consultation either over the phone, zoom, or in-person. This meeting will allow us to create a unique care plan for you and your family! Your plan may include meal prep, light cleaning, laundry, grocery runs, herbal baths and/or steams, emotional processing, and feeding/nursing support. I offer holding, feeding and changing your baby while you nap, shower, do self-care, etc.

Every birthing person needs something different during this time. What is important to me is that you voice your needs. Some people will know exactly what they need, so for those individuals I am happy to follow your lead! For many others, the needs are so overwhelming that you may not even know where to start. I am always happy to strategize with you and your family to offer ideas.

For some people, a visit may look like me caring for your baby while you nap, and for others, this could look like me doing dishes while you get to be fully present with your baby. You may want to share your birth story with me, or share your emotions around nursing/feeding and any challenges (or triumphs!) that you’ve experienced.

Whatever it is that you need, we can discuss this at your consultation. It is expected that plans will constantly change and evolve to adapt to your unique needs.

Hi, I’m Cassandra!

My postpartum care journey began in 2016, when I started my training as a midwife. In 2021 I graduated from Birthwise Midwifery school. At that time, I had attended over 100 births and hundreds of prenatal and postpartum visits. I was struck by how little support families had in the postpartum period and I was determined to change this! I decided to get my masters in social work at the University of Southern Maine after spending 8 years providing prenatal, birth and postpartum care while also working jobs as a social worker.

While attending my grad program, I discovered that I was pregnant! Even with all of my experience in this field, nothing could have prepared me for my pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience. I found myself wanting to tell everyone my story, and I found it really helpful to process this with other people. I was extremely lucky to have had lots of family and friends around after having my baby. The provided me with meals, feeding support, a listening ear, and more. I believe that everyone who has a baby should have this type of help available.

It would be an honor to provide you and your family with the support that you need to make this time a little less stressful and a little more joyful!
